  • Overnight Trip to Gifu and Kanazawa Part 1

Hey guys! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted and that comes down to two things. One, I had my midterms, and two I was planning for this trip with my class, and knew that it would create lots for me to talk about and share! It takes quite a bit of time […]

  • The Top of Tokyo Sky Tree: Meeting my Pen Pal for the First Time

I don’t know why it almost took me a week to compile and write this post, but it did. I think perhaps because I wanted to take a week to privately cherish this moment for myself before sharing it with the world. I’m glad I did because I think I’ll be able to articulate my […]

  • School BBQ

Hey everyone! Recently my school held a school wide barbecue! That means faculty and students worked side by side to cook food, play games, and have a good time. It was a lot of fun.

  • Meeting LadyBeard, Thoughts on 1st Month in Japan

Hey everyone! It’s been a while between posts, so I thought I’d get on here and queue a few up! Recently I went back to Harajuku to get some clothes that I needed for my stay here. Whilst entering Takeshita Dori street I spotted Lady Beard taking photos with fans and having a camera follow […]

  • National Diet Building, Imperial Palace, Sensoji Buddhist Temple, and Asakusa Tour

Get ready for a long post! Every weekend that I have a culture class trip, I am surprised by what we are shown. As you’ll see from the photographs and video, Asakusa is very much where old meets new. The political hub of Tokyo is right next to an Edo period castle and the Imperial […]

Told you it wouldn’t be long till the siding was complete! Update from the build site aka family members house! That completes (most) of the outside. Can’t believe the siding and roof are on! Maybe the 2nd to last post about siding! Once that goes up it’s all about the plumbing and electrical. For Randy. Part one of our Tiny House Journey. To say we are more excited than ever would be an understatement… Again, Lane and his father put up this siding today and worked really hard! Can’t wait to see what it looks like with the accent @nakamotoforestry Gendai Brown around the doors! Not technically the FIRST nail in the siding but the first nail in a cut panel of our @nakamotoforestry siding going in!! 🏠 Lane once again outdoing himself helping us out with this build! She’s looking pretty sharp thanks to Lane putting in the windows!! Exciting update that came all the way from @nakamotoforestry in Oregon! Our siding arrived early! Received an exciting update from our build site!! Wish we could be there but it’s during the week. Hopefully soon we’ll have video updates when we visit for the holidays 💕 we are still processing the last 3 months, but this definitely boosted our mood. 💕😢From the first restaurant planning session until September 20th Randy, T’s father, helped us draw up plans and go pick up the trailer and frame in Colorado. We’ve been quiet on progress due to his passing. We are still actively grieving…but his blood, sweat and tears are part of this project. Part of him lives on in what will be our home for the foreseeable future. We miss you Randy, and love you. This project isn’t the same without your help, and seeing you putter around. 💕
